About this product
The Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 is a 2-channel double deck controller in black, designed for tabletop use. It offers rekordbox and Serato compatibility, a single mic input, and 24-bit/44.1 kHz audio. The controller features touch-sensitive jog wheels, performance pads, and USB connectivity. With a frequency response of 20-20,000 Hz and a 1U rack height, it is a versatile choice for beginner to intermediate DJs seeking a compact, PC/Mac compatible controller.
Our take
Setting up the DDJ-FLX4 was straightforward—plug and play with rekordbox. The jog wheels have a nice feel, and the pads are responsive. I like that it includes a mic input, which is handy for announcements. The 24-bit audio sounds clean. However, the lack of a dedicated display means constant laptop glancing, and the all-plastic chassis doesn't inspire confidence for heavy travel. For a first controller, it's a capable tool that grows with you, especially since it works with Serato DJ Pro if you upgrade.
