Our take
I've been using the Pioneer DJ XDJ-700 as a secondary deck alongside my main setup, and it's a solid performer. The build feels sturdy, and the jog wheel is responsive with nice illumination for dark environments. The 16 pads are great for triggering hot cues and loops, and the auto BPM function works accurately most of the time. However, the single-deck nature means you'll need another player for full mixing, and the lack of a dedicated booth output could be a limitation for some. The 3.5mm I/O feels a bit fragile compared to RCA jacks. Overall, if you need a compact, reliable single player with Rekordbox integration, this is a good choice, but be aware of the connectivity tradeoffs.
