About this product
A 2012 first edition hardcover from HarperCollins, 293 illustrated pages. Covers individual chefs, quick & easy methods, Southwestern cuisine, and rural sociology. Dust jacket included.
Our take
I like this one for its blend of recipes and stories. The 'Food From My Frontier' theme gives it a personal touch. The recipes are solid, and the photography is lovely. However, at 293 pages, it's thinner than some of her later books, so you get fewer recipes. Also, the topic of rural sociology seems a bit out of place. Overall, it's a good addition if you're a collector or want a smaller volume.
