About this product
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-XP2 is a tabletop pad controller featuring 32 velocity-sensitive pads, USB interface, and built-in effects including loop and sampler. It offers tempo control and is designed for use with DJ software. The compact form factor makes it a versatile addition to any DJ setup, providing expanded creative control over samples, cues, and effects.
Our take
I added the DDJ-XP2 to my existing Pioneer setup, and it really expands my creative options. The 32 pads are responsive and well-spaced, perfect for triggering samples and cues on the fly. The built-in loop and sampler effects integrate smoothly. It's USB-powered and plug-and-play with Rekordbox. My only gripe: it's entirely dependent on software – no standalone mode. Also, it's a bit pricey for a pad controller alone. If you already use Pioneer gear and want more tactile control, it's a solid addition.
